Following our Belfast Branch AGM, three Belfast Branch members from Australia, Canada and USA will make short presentations about their key Irish ancestors. Ancestral surnames will include Redfern, MacNutt, Hyndman, Crawford, Dawson, McCallum, McMillan and Chestnutt.

An online Zoom class with Anne Johnston
WikiTree is a free genealogy website that allows users individually to research and contribute to their own personal family trees, whilst building and collaborating on a single worldwide family tree within the same system. It also allows users to record DNA tests, linking them to relevant cousin profiles. This class will provide an introduction to WikiTree and by the use of practical examples it hopes to encourage you to join the WikiTree community with the overall aim of linking our shared heritage in the North of Ireland and beyond.
Explore the NIFHS Family History Library or take the chance to look through books and records and do some family history research. Maybe you're interested in local history and want to check old street directories or maps? Everyone is welcome - just call in. Free.
Saturday, 10 June is the provisional date for the Branch's Summer Outing to places of interest to genealogists and family historians. Departure time and arrangements to be confirmed.

This online class will guide you through the basics of working with your DNA test results from familytreedna.com (FTDNA).
Following the July holiday break, the Research Centre will be open again from 2pm to 8pm on Tuesdays.
