Location & Directions

The North of Ireland Family History Society (NIFHS) is located at Unit C4 in the Valley Business Centre, which is at 67 Church Road, Newtownabbey, Co. Antrim, BT36 7LS. An illustrated location and directions guide (PDF 491 KB) is available.

By Car

From the Shore Road (A2) / Longwood Road Junction – up Longwood Road, pass Abbey Centre entrances, to roundabout at top, take second exit on to Church Road (for Valley Leisure Centre), pass Valley Leisure Centre entrance on left, to Valley Business Centre on right hand side (1½ miles total).

By Bus

Translink Metro Service 2D (from Upper Queen Street) to Rathcoole – Alight at the stop for Valley Leisure Centre on Church Road, walk uphill for ½ mile, to Valley Business Centre on right hand side.

By Rail

Via Whiteabbey Station (NIR2 Larne Line) or Mossley West Station (NIR3 L/Derry Line) – a prearranged taxi needed as there is no taxi rank at either station. Via Yorkgate Station – turn right from station, use the pedestrian crossing to St. Paul’s Church on York Road – take Translink Metro Service 2D (Monkstown).
