Index to Miscellaneous Records Extracted from Journals

The North of Ireland Family History Society (NIFHS) has runs of over 50 journals and many of these contain miscellaneous genealogical records.  The Society has indexed the titles of those articles to help Members locate material of interest.  See the Journals page to find which journals have been indexed.

The indexed articles cover a great variety of types of information: lists of residents and emigrants; hearthmoney rolls; census strays; church registers, newspaper extracts, biographies; family histories; passenger lists; and many other subjects of genealogical interest.  Time spent searching or browsing the index could well be worthwhile and, if you find an article of interest, it will be in the Irish Journal Room of the Society’s Research Centre; Members unable to visit the Research Centre may use the Look Up Service.
