Black collected all the family quilts over generations to help tell the story of their family history. David looks at a goodly number of other family stories under this umbrella,surnames including Donelson, McDowell, Lyle, Witherspoon, Brice and Gilliland among others. Dr David Hume is a well-known local historian, radio and television broadcaster and author of several books including those tracing emigrant histories.
